PURPOSE: Cylinder support structure of a reciprocating compressor is provided to prevent deformation of a cylinder although a front frame is deformed in fastening a discharge cover to the front frame with a fastening bolt. CONSTITUTION: In a reciprocating compressor comprises, a piston is combined to an operator of a reciprocating motor, a cylinder(41) is inserted in a cylinder hole of a frame(110), and a discharge cover covering the discharge side of the cylinder is fixed to the frame with a fastening bolt. In cylinder support structure of the reciprocating compressor, a first support protrusion(112), maintaining an interval from the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder and supporting the cylinder in the longitudinal direction, is formed to the inner peripheral surface of one side of the cylinder hole of the frame and a second support protrusion(113), supporting the cylinder in the radial direction in about a close contact state with the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder, is formed to the inner peripheral surface of the other side of the cylinder hole of the frame.
