PURPOSE: A magnetic disk device is provided to compensate for a case when data of an adjacent track is gradually eliminated by a leaking magnetic field, thereby preventing a data error from being generated. CONSTITUTION: A device decides whether a track is an even-numbered track or an odd-numbered track(101). If the track is the even-numbered track, the device decides whether an adjacent track is previously written(102). If not, the device increases the even-numbered value by 1(104). If the even-numbered value is updated, the device decides the frequency of writing of the even-numbered track(105). The device reads odd-numbered track data of a currently written area to refresh the data(108), and decides that the data is substantially eliminated(109). If a rewriting process is necessary, the device performs the rewriting process(110). The device returns the frequency of writing of the even-numbered track to one time(111).
