PISTON TYPE COMPRESSOR FOR REDUCING LOAD OF SEAL MEMBERS

PURPOSE: A piston type compressor is provided to reduce a load of seal members sealing up the inside of cylinder heads. CONSTITUTION: A cooling chamber(54A) formed between a front housing(13) and a retainer formation plate(15A) is adjacent to a discharge chamber(21A), covering an outer circumference of the discharge chamber. A seal member(19) formed at a front surface of the retainer formation plate interrupts an atmosphere between the cooling chamber and the outside of a compressor for sealing up the inside of the front housing. A cooling chamber(54B) formed between a rear housing(14) and a retainer formation plate(15B) is adjacent to a discharge chamber(21B), covering an outer circumference of the discharge chamber. Another seal member(19) formed at a rear surface of the retainer formation plate interrupts an atmosphere between the cooling chamber and the outside of the compressor for sealing up the inside of the rear housing.
