PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to achieve increased aperture ratio by including a display electrode constituted by a trapezoidal scan electrode and a comb-shaped sustain electrode, and achieve improved discharge efficiency by forming a common sustain electrode through connection of ends of sustain electrodes between discharge cells. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises a display electrode constituted by a pair of trapezoidal scan electrode(21) and a comb-shaped sustain electrode(22) each of which has respective stripe type main electrodes(21a,22a) which are opposed with each other so as to form a discharge gap(G); and a barrier rib for defining the discharge area formed by the display electrode into a well shape. The sustain electrode includes the stripe type main electrode opposed to the main electrode of the scan electrode so as to form the discharge gap; and branch electrodes(22b) branched off from the main electrode and connected with each other between discharge cells so as to form a common sustain electrode. |
