REAL TIME GRAPHIC TRAFFIC INFORMATION SERVICE SYSTEM USING GPS AND FM DARC, IN WHICH TRAFFIC INFORMATION IS PROVIDED AS REALTIME GRAPHIC

摘要

PURPOSE: A real time graphic traffic information service system using GPS and FM DARC is provided to obtain traffic information in real time and to solve inefficient traffic information transmission function. CONSTITUTION: According to the transmitter system, a FM DARC traffic information providing center(101) collects traffic information from a traffic information data base(102) of each traffic information source and stores it on a FM DARC data base(103) to provide real time graphic traffic information. Road ID and up line and down line classification and color code according to traffic condition and vehicle speed are added to the data collected to provide FM DARC real time graphic traffic information and then the data are stored again. The data is processed to have a constant packet by setting an application ID of a packet application of the FM DARC to provide a graphic traffic map service. A LMSK modulation is performed where modulation rate is changed according to an audio level of a FM radio. Then, the traffic information is transmitted through a FM transmitter unit(105) together with the FM radio.
