PURPOSE: A method for making a safety helmet is provided to obtain a helmet having improved impact resistance and tensile resistance as well as light weight, and is economically and hygienically favorable. CONSTITUTION: The method for making a safety helmet comprises the steps of: molding a liner(110) having an inner space for housing the user's head and an opening at the bottom from a thermoplastic resin; covering the outer surface of the liner(110) with a reinforced fiber sheet(113) prepared from high-strength fiber and high-elasticity fiber in the form of woven or non-woven fabric; providing a mold having a concave molding surface and disposing the liner covered with the reinforced fiber sheet(113) in the mold so that the reinforced fiber sheet(113) is disposed between the molding surface and the liner(110); injecting a thermosetting resin between the liner(110) and the molding surface and curing the thermosetting resin; and separating the cured thermosetting resin from the mold.
