PURPOSE: A high lift apparatus using diffuser pump is provided to increase the pump discharge pressure by increasing the suction head(NPSH) of a low head pump with a cavitation decreased. CONSTITUTION: A high lift apparatus connects an underground sump tank(T1), a diffuser pump(P2), a feed water tank(P1) and a pressure control tank(T2) in series. A check valve(CV1) is installed on the suction part of the diffuser pump, and a suction pressure gauge of feed water pump is installed on the suction part of the feed water pump, and also a discharge pressure gauge(G3) is installed on the discharge part. A solenoid valve(SV1) is installed on the bypass line of the pressure control tank and the diffuser pump, and a diffuser pump start pressure gauge(G4) is installed on the feed water line of the diffuser pump. A discharge pipe of the pressure control tank(T1) on lower floors is connected to a water pressure gauge(G5) on middle floors and a discharge pipe of the pressure control tank(T3) on middle floors is connected to a water pressure gauge(G9) on higher floors, and a discharge pipe of the pressure control tank(T4) on higher floors is connected to a feed water line of rooftop water tank for extinguishing fire.
