PURPOSE: An apparatus for validating and outputting a serial number of a bank note is provided to automatically detect and print serial number of a bank note, so preventing financial trouble. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for validating and outputting a serial number of a bank note includes various functions to validate a forged bank note and a kind of a bank note, recognize the serial number of the bank note with a high speed, and output the detected serial number. The apparatus is used for sharing the information related to the forged bank note on internet by forming a serial number database when detecting the forged bank note.
