PURPOSE: A device for preventing falling asleep during driving by using pressure change of a thumb is provided to prevent traffic accidents by detecting and warning falling asleep during driving through a buzzer. CONSTITUTION: A device for preventing falling asleep during driving is composed of an attaching and detaching unit mounted detachably and easily to a steering wheel; a buzzer fastened to the steering wheel by the attaching and detaching unit, pressed by a thumb of a driver, and used as a switch of an alarm; and an electric circuit unit outputting the alarm according to the signal from the buzzer. When feeling sleepy, a driver presses the buzzer completely by a thumb. Switches(b,b') of the electric circuit are connected to each other by pressure of the thumb of the driver, and disconnected by releasing pressure of the thumb. Falling asleep during driving is prevented by alarming in releasing the pressure of the thumb from the buzzer.
