PURPOSE: A method and a device for uploading an image file using an active-X technology on a web page are provided to upload the image file to a web server after resizing the image file to a predetermined size by using a GD graphic library embedded into a Say-uploader if an upload request for the image file is generated in a client computer. CONSTITUTION: A community management server(130) operates the web page using the Say-uploader, registers the uploaded image file to the web page, and provides a community service including a bulletin board and a data room. The client terminal(110) receives the web page by connecting to the community management server through a web browser, automatically downloads/installs the Say-uploader, and uploads the image file by resizing a file size and/or the image size of the image file. An image file database(140) stores the image file uploaded from the community management server.
