METHOD FOR MEASURING INTERFACIAL CHARGE OF POLYMERIC MATERIAL USING A PIEZOELECTRIC SENSOR

PURPOSE: A method for measuring interfacial charge of polymeric material is provided to directly measure the interfacial charge distribution of a test sample by applying charges to along with an interface of the test sample and by applying pulses in a vertical direction to the interface of the test sample. CONSTITUTION: A charge applying electrode(1) and a charge grounding electrode(2) are located at both end parts of an interface such that charges are applied along the interface of two high polymeric material samples(11). A pulse applying electrode(3) and a pulse grounding electrode(4) are attached to both surfaces of the high polymeric material sample(11) such that pulses are applied in a width direction. A piezoelectric sensor(5) is provided at the pulse grounding electrode(4) such that a pressure wave resulting from electrostatic stress between applied charges and pulses is measured.
