The relay has a current sensor (3) with Hall effect on a supply wire and connected to an electronic unit for transmitting a signal proportional to the power. The electronic unit is organized to simulate the operation of a magneto-thermal mechanical relay for transmitting a stop order to a circuit breaker coupled with a motor, by following a power tripping curve corresponding to a power tripping curve given by a manufacturer.
