DRIVE DEVICE OF HYBRID CAR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive device of a hybrid car capable of suppressing a drop in the starting characteristic of the first power source when starting is made by giving an external force to the first power supply.

SOLUTION: The drive device of the hybrid car is structured so that the power of the first power source and the power of the second power source are transmitted to the vehicle wheels, a transmission with variable gear ratio is installed in the power transmitting path from the second power source to the wheels, and that a rotary member of the transmission and the wheels are coupled together in such a way that the power is transmitted, wherein the arrangement further includes a rotation restricting means (Steps S1 and S2) which restricts the rotation of the rotary member of the transmission at the time of starting the first power source by giving thereto an external force.
