<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an exhaust gas recirculation valve, improving control accuracy of the exhaust gas recirculation valve and obtaining sufficient control accuracy even in the narrow opening area of an especially large-sized exhaust gas recirculation valve. <P>SOLUTION: Operating characteristics of the exhaust gas recirculation valve 22 have an invalid action area that a lift amount is not changed even though a duty ratio of a driving signal is changed. The exhaust gas recirculation valve 22 is modeled in an effective action area excluding the invalid action area, and based on a target model to be controlled obtained by modeling, driving control by which the lift amount LACT of the exhaust gas recirculation valve 22 is matched with a specified value LCMD of the lift amount is executed by sliding mode control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
