<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a contrast ratio and an image display quality, in a liquid crystal display. <P>SOLUTION: One member formed by arranging a plurality of one electrodes in a stripe shape on a substrate, forming auxiliary electrodes between individual one electrodes and depositing an alignment layer on the one electrodes and the auxiliary electrodes and the other member formed by arranging a plurality of the other electrodes in a stripe shape on a substrate, forming auxiliary electrodes between individual the other electrodes and depositing an alignment layer on the other electrodes are stuck to each other via a liquid crystal layer so that the one electrodes and the other electrodes are formed to orthogonal to each other to form the liquid crystal displayer and voltage is applied to the auxiliary electrodes so that black display is performed at the parts where the auxiliary electrodes on the both sides are opposed to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
