<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an iconized window method excellent in use efficiency of a space of a screen. <P>SOLUTION: A user directs iconization of a plurality of windows, and when the the number of individual icons is four, a window manager displays one top icon (shared icon) 41 on the screen 40 of a display device. Thereafter, the user moves the mouse cursor onto the top icon 41 and clicks it when the user wants to re-display the iconified window. The window manager arranges and displays, in response to it, dependent icons 42-1, 42-2, 42-3 and 42-4 subject to the top icon 41 in a one longitudinal line on the right side of the top icon 41. When the user double-clicks one of the displayed dependent icons, the window manager restores and displays the window corresponding to the dependent icon on the screen 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
