<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing reduced metal with which NOx content in waste gas of a reducing furnace is not increased, while decreasing fuel consumption in the reducing furnace by enriching oxygen in the air for burner combustion, in the method for producing the reduced metal by heating and reducing oxidized metal containing carbonaceous material with the burner combustion in the shifting furnace hearth type reducing furnace. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of main burners 3 for supplying the fuel D and the air E for primary combustion and a plurality of secondary combustion burners 4 for supplying the air F for secondary combustion, are arranged in the reducing furnace 1, and in using the air H with the oxygen J enriched as the air E for the primary combustion and/or the air F for secondary combustion, the oxygen concentration in the air E for the primary combustion supplied with at least one of the main burner 3 in the plurality of main burners 3, is made to lower than the oxygen concentration in the air E for the secondary combustion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
