<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost power distribution device capable of common use of component parts of different areas and their standardization and assuring a good space efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: In case power distribution is made from the trunk line 1 of an intra-car network to various areas, the dimensions and shapes of the body case 11 of a common part 3 connected to the trunk line 1, a control integrated circuit (IPS) 13 for a switching power supply as a power MOSFET, and wiring component parts 15 are made common for different areas at least in the car. This enables a common use of component parts and their standardization to result in cost-down owing to mass-production, compared with a conventional distribution box which must be designed and manufactured particularly for different areas. The use of the power MOSFET enhances the space efficiency, compared with a conventional distribution box including a built-in fuse and relay. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
