PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquefaction treatment apparatus for waste plastics which can recover a pyrolysate of the waste plastics as a cracked distillate without blocking piping with terephthalic acid and benzoic acid produced through pyrolysis of the waste plastic, even when the waste plastic contains PET (polyethylene telephthalate). SOLUTION: This liquefaction treatment apparatus is equipped with a waste plastics pyrolyzing furnace 1, a precipitation tank 4 for precipitating carboxylic acids contained in pyrolysis gas and a circulating oil tank 5 and a circulating oil cooler 6 interposed into a circulation pathway 7. Circulating oil flows into and out from the precipitation tank 4 to be circulated through the circulation pathway 7 by a pump 8. An introduction pipe 3 for introducing the pyrolysis gas to the precipitation tank 4 is connected to the circulation pathway 7 at a position downstream of the circulating oil cooler 6 and upstream of the precipitation tank 4. Product oil contains the carboxylic acids precipitated by quenching the pyrolysis gas with the circulating oil and flows out through an overflow pipe 9 connected between the precipitation tank 4 and a settling tank 10.
