<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake unit which certainly protects a brake lamp switch from the driver's leg at costs lower than conventional one without deteriorating assembling property. <P>SOLUTION: According to the brake unit, a striker 3 is arranged on the side face of a brake pedal 1 that is opposite to the accelerator side. When the driver steps on the brake pedal 1, the striker 3 is separated from the brake lamp switch 4 to turn on the brake lamp. On the base end of the brake pedal 1 near the striker 3, a protector 7 is formed integrally to overhang toward the rear of a vehicle to protect the brake lamp switch 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
