PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is difficult to use an up-converter for controlling a power supply voltage for a power amplifier of a high-EER portable telephone because it exhibits low responsivity and it can not decrease a voltage lower than the power supply voltage though the range of control can be extended by using it. SOLUTION: A power supply voltage control circuit of an EER type which exhibits a wide control range and high responsivity is obtained by combining the up-converter with a high-responsivity step-down element.
