PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a toner excellent in transferability. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a toner obtained by coating surfaces of toner matrix particles containing a binder resin and a colorant with fine resin particles includes a step of stirring the toner matrix particles and the fine resin particles having a volume average particle diameter of≤200 nm at a temperature not exceeding the glass transition temperature of the toner matrix particles.
