PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the tilt adjusting device of an optical pickup device in which tilt adjusting work time of an objective lens can be shortened. SOLUTION: Adjusting angle data (θX,θY) of a driver 28a necessary for dissolving the tilt of an objective lens 15 are made to correspond to 0th, 1st order light centroid positions X1, X2 before adjusting operation are stored in the adjusting angle data storing region of a memory 27b. For adjusting operation, actual 0th order light centroid position X1 and first order light centroid position X2 are calculated on the basis of an image pickup signal from a CCD 26, adjusting angle dataθ1,θ2 corresponding to 0th order light centroid position X1 and the first order light centroid position X2 are read from an adjusting angle data storing means, and driver driving signals Sb in accordance with the data are sent to a driver driving means 28 (steps S21-23).
