THERMAL TRANSFER PRINTING METHOD AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF RESIN PRODUCT HAVING THERMAL TRANSFER PRINTING SURFACE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer printing method and a manufacturing method of a resin product having a thermal transfer printing surface in which deformation can be reduced when thermal transfer printing is applied to the resin product having a relatively large surface to which transfer is to be performed such as a VHS tape cassette. SOLUTION: This thermal transfer printing method includes a thermal transfer printing process for heating a transfer film 14 to be transferred to the surface of a resin product 1 to which the transfer film is to be transferred and performing thermal transfer and a post-processing process for pressurizing the transferred page side first so as to eliminate the deformation of the thermal-transferred resin product and heating the product from the other page side of the transferred surface. By pressurizing the deformation which has occurred to the resin product in the thermal transfer printing process from the transferred surface side and heating it from the other side opposite to the transfer side, the deformation can be eliminated.
