PURPOSE: A data storage system for transceiving the data by using a plurality of voltage levels is provided to improve the data transmission speed between the host and the data storage device by transceiving the binary data with a data having at least of 4 voltage levels. CONSTITUTION: A data storage system for transceiving the data by using a plurality of voltage levels includes a host connection unit(200), an external storage device(300) and a host interface bus(100). The host connection unit(200) is used for being connected to the host. The external storage device(300) is provided with a non-volatile semiconductor memory to store the data. And, the host interface bus(100) connects the host connection unit(200) and the external storage device(300) mutually.
