<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording sheet having especially excellent surface gloss and superb image printability with regard to the inkjet recording sheet. <P>SOLUTION: This multi-layer inkjet recording sheet is finished by forming an ink receiving layer and a gloss development layer on at least one surface of a support, then coagulating the gloss development layer by the help of a coagulating solution and pressing the coagulated gloss development layer into contact with a heated mirror surface roll/drying while the former is in a wet condition. Since a water-soluble cellulose derivative and an organic carboxylate are contained in the coagulating solution, the inkjet recording sheet with excellent surface gloss and superb image printability can be obtained. A methyl cellulose, a hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, and the like, are recommended as the water-soluble cellulose derivative, and a calcium formate, and the like, are recommended as the organic carboxylate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
