<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for maintaining stable transferring by performing the transfer of a toner image by using a transfer roller and being hardly influenced in environmental change. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a photoreceptor for forming an image by an electrophotography method, the transfer roller for transferring the toner image formed on the photoreceptor on a transfer material, and a voltage application means for applying bias voltage on the transfer voltage.
