<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the leakage of written information caused by a change in current consumption. <P>SOLUTION: Information is read from a plurality of tracks of a magnetic card and stored into a memory. After the reception of the written information from a host device, determination is made as to whether the received written information is information to be written in one track or not. If the written information is not information to be written in one track, the written information is written in a plurality of writing target track at the same time. If the written information is information to be written in one track, on the other hand, the written information is written in a writing target track, and simultaneously the original information of the track stored in the memory is rewritten in a track which is not a writing target. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
