PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible method for machining a differential case, and also to provide a machine tool for executing the method. SOLUTION: A workpiece (9) is collected from a transfer device by a workpiece spindle (1) operating, based on a pickup principle, and is supplied to at least a tool for machining being rotated and driven.
