<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle door opening and closing device which enables the user to further positively recognize an unlocking/locking state of a vehicle door without damaging the durability thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A smart entry system controls unlocking/locking of the vehicle door by recognizing a desire of the user to unlock/lock the vehicle door. The system is provided with a handle frame 14 fixed to the vehicle door, a handle section 12 arranged outside the vehicle door and supported on the handle frame 14, for carrying out opening/closing operation of the vehicle door, and a handle cap 13 arranged outside the vehicle door and supported on the handle frame 14. The system is also provided with a light decorative member 29 arranged on the handle cap 13, a light emitting member housed in the handle frame 14, for being driven for light emission in response to the unlocking/locking state of the vehicle door, and a light guide path 31 connecting between the light decorative member 29 and the light emitting member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
