PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system which searches for a safer route for a driver from the point of view of the carelessness of the driver. SOLUTION: The navigation system 1 includes a route search means 20 for searching for a plurality of routes to the destination; a carelessness inducement degree determination means 40 which reads out road information on the plurality of routes found by the route search means 20 from a road information database 10 having the information on roads, and which determines the carelessness inducement degree of each route, for the driver on the route, using the road information; and a recommended route determination means 50 which determines the recommended route to the destination, using the carelessness inducement degree of the route determined by the carelessness inducement degree determination means 40.
