PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify a given command to be which command out of a plurality of kinds of commands and to carry out control corresponding to the command using a valve device with a power generating function provided with a solenoid valve for opening/closing a channel, and a generator put in power generating operation by a water stream. SOLUTION: This valve device 10 with the power generating function is provided with the solenoid valve 15, the generator 14, a starting valve 28 opened by manual operation to generate the water stream in the channel 12, and a control part 42. The control part 42 identifies a large wash command or a small wash command according to the length of power generating operation time of the generator 14 corresponding to the opening operation time of the starting valve 28, and opens the solenoid valve 15 for the time corresponding to the identified command to perform large wash or small wash of a toilet bowl 38.
