PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device mounted with a liquid crystal driving circuit for optimizing display performance by automatically repairing orientation disorder generated in a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between two glass substrates to cause a display defect, as a simple matrix type liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: Added is a circuit having a function such that when a driving circuit ON/OFF control signal DISP rises to H (when H represents an active level) at the start of display operation of the liquid crystal display device, a scanning data signal FRAM is at the H level for a certain period which is nearly longer than one FRAM cycle and a select voltage is continuously applied to a scanning electrode for the period.
