PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light receiving sensor for measuring dimensions, capable of measuring length, width and height dimensions of an article. SOLUTION: The box-shaped article A to be measured is placed on a measurement table 1, a wall part 3 formed by arranging a group of light receiving elements along a passage, is mounted at one side of the measurement table 1 along the conveying direction of the article A, and a group of light projecting elements are built in a wall part 4 at the other side. The wall part 4 is provided with two window parts 8, 9, and an ultrasonic wave transmitter and a wave receiver are respectively mounted in the wall part 4 corresponding to the window parts 8, 9. A height measuring unit 13 is mounted at an upper part of the measurement table 1 by means of supports 12. The length is measured by receiving the light flux emitted from the light projecting element, and the width and height are measured by emitting an ultrasonic wave toward the article A, and measuring the dimensions based on a reflection returning time.
