PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque converter with a lockup clutch capable of reliably controlling engagement/disengagement of a stator by a simple structure while omitting a one-way clutch of a stator by using the control hydraulic pressure of the lock-up clutch. SOLUTION: In the torque converter with the lock-up clutch, an annular supporting member to support a stator and an annular non-rotating member facing the supporting member and provided in a non-rotating manner are provided. The supporting member and the non-rotating member are engaged with each other in response to the first flow to generate the lock-up releasing pressure to separate a piston from a cover member, and disengaged from each other in response to the second flow to generate the lock-up pressure to bring the piston into contact with the cover member.
