PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool with a sensor circuit improved in cutting performance as a tool, while maintaining high detecting sensitivity in the sensor circuit. SOLUTION: In this cutting tool with a sensor, a surface of a base material 2 is provided with an insulating film 3 having a film thickness of 0.1-15μm, wherein cracks exist with an interval at 30-1000μm, to manufacture the cutting tool 1 with a sensor circuit formed with the sensor circuit, which is formed from a conductive film 4, on a surface of the insulating film 3.
