The laser scanners (3a,3b) arranged at a defined spacing are moved, until the scanning beams (4a,4b) converge at a measurement point (6) on an object (2). The object image is picked up using a video camera (7) and the image is processed to set scanners movement for beam convergence and to determine object distance by triangulation principle using scanners position and converging point. An Independent claim is also included for object distance measurement device. |
