摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for a solar battery which allows the fabrication of a reliable and efficient solar battery at a low cost, and a solar battery using the same, and also to provide methods of manufacturing these. <P>SOLUTION: The substrate for a solar battery is formed with at least an active layer made of high purity silicon on the surface, and then is formed with a solar battery on the active layer. The substrate for a solar battery comprises silicon particles 21, carbon 22 which is generated among the silicon particles 21 by calcination of binder resin containing carbon atoms as constituent atoms, and silicon carbide 23 which is generated in an interface between the silicon particles 21 and the carbon 22 by calcination of these and which binds the silicon particles 21 together. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
