<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent corrosion of a fuel supply system by grounding current from a fuel feeder. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel feeder 10 has the lower end of a conductor 18 connected with a ground electrode 16 buried under the ground 24 and the upper end of the conductor 18 connected with a frame or the like via a grounding circuit 30 provided inside an enclosure of a meter 12. The grounding circuit 30 is constituted of a pair of reversely connected diodes 32 and 34. The diodes 32 and 34 are structured to cause a current to flow when a potential difference between the ground electrode 16 and the frame is ±0.6 V or more for example. Thus when the potential difference between a fuel supply tube 14 and an underground tank 26, and the ground electrode 16 is a natural potential difference (-0.3 to -0.6 V), the current is prevented from flowing to the tube 14 and the tank 26, to prevent electrolytic corrosion (corrosion) from occurring by the ground current in the iron-made tube 14 and tank 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
