摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide charge controlling technique wherein a secondary battery provided in the electronic apparatus can be efficiently charged. <P>SOLUTION: The charge controlling technique utilizes an external power source having a characteristic such that when a current value of rated output current value or more is required, output voltage is decreased to the lowest permissible output voltage value in accordance with a level of this required current, when a current value of that or more is required, a voltage output is interrupted; a means for detecting a difference value between the largest permissible charge current permitted by the secondary battery and the charge current flowing therein; a means for detecting a difference value between the lowest permissible output voltage permitted by the external power source and the output voltage output thereby; and a means for controlling a charge circuit in accordance with these two difference values so as to generate the largest charge current in a range with the charge current flowing in the secondary battery not exceeding the largest permissible charge current further with the output voltage output by the external power source not decreasing to the lowest permissible output voltage or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
