<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To integrally constitute an optical element without arranging tacky adhesive films, alignment layers, etc., by interposing a liquid crystal molecular axis conversion layer so as to continuously connect the directions of the axes of the liquid crystal molecules between adjacent liquid crystal layers when constituting the optical element by laminating a plurality of the liquid crystal layers. <P>SOLUTION: The optical element 1 is constituted by directly laminating the liquid crystal molecular axis conversion layer 4 on the first liquid crystal layer 3 unified in the liquid crystal molecular axis directions to a specified direction and further directly laminating the second liquid crystal layer 5 unified in the liquid crystal molecular axis directions to the direction different from the liquid crystal molecular axis direction of the first liquid crystal layer 3 thereon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
