<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for controlling the operation of a variable speed motor capable of smoothly resuming the operation control of a variable speed motor at power restoration after power supply is stopped or a supplied voltage drops, with no sensor or the like that detects the rotational number of the variable speed motor. <P>SOLUTION: The operation control apparatus of a variable speed motor 11 comprises a power monitoring part 20 which monitors the electric power supplied to the variable speed motor 11 and detects the stoppage of power supply or drop of a supplied voltage, a rotation detecting part 21 that detects a remaining voltage caused by rotation when the variable speed motor 11 is in free running state to derive the rotational frequency and phase of the variable speed motor 11, and a drive control part 15 which controls driving of the variable speed motor 11 according to the rotational frequency and phase of the variable speed motor 11 after a supplied power is restored for driving the variable speed motor 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
