<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily assemble a lead frame and an insulating contact member to a detecting element under the condition where another member is assembled thereto. <P>SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method for an air-fuel ratio sensor 2, external moving force toward a tip side direction to the insulating contact member 82 is impressed in the third step of an assembling process, the insulating contact member 82 is moved up to a periphery of a wavy portion 16 of the lead frame 10, and the detecting element 4 and the wavy portion 16 of the lead frame 10 are arranged thereby in an inside of a through hole of the contact member 82. Since the detecting element 4 is not required to be lifted up by adopting a method herein, even the detecting element 4 assembled with the another member (ceramic sleeve 6, powder filled layer 108, main metal 102 or the like) can be arranged in the inside of the contact through hole 84. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
