PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To check unlocking operation by insertion of a wire, a bar, and a hand. SOLUTION: This opening/closing body has a thumb-turn shaft 10 non-insertably/non-extractably and rotatably arranged to a seat plate member 2 arranged on a door surface, freely movable in the axial direction to the seat plate member 2 , and freely engaging and disengaging the tip 12 with and from a lock box mechanism part, a knob part 15 arranged on the thumb-turn shaft 10, and a holding means for holding the thumb-turn shaft 10 in any one position of a position for engaging the thumb-turn shaft tip 12 with the lock box mechanism part and a retreat position for not engaging the thumb-turn shaft tip 12 with the lock box mechanism part. The holding means has a pair of recessed grooves 18 formed in parallel on an outer peripheral surface of the thumb-turn shaft 10, an engaging part 22 for orthogonally freely advancing-retreating to the axial direction of the thumb-turn shaft 10, and engaging with the recessed grooves 18, and an operation part 26 appearing from a seat plate member surface 2b, connected to the engaging part 22, and releasing engagement of the engaging part 22 and the recessed grooves 18.
