PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure vessel for automatically discharging an internal pressurized gas out of the vessel when a pressure in the vessel rises beyond a predetermined upper limit value by a simple structure with little increase in the cost of the pressure vessel. SOLUTION: The pressure vessel has: a container body 2 including an opening 3 on its upper part; an attachment member 4 provided on the upper surface of the opening and equipped with a storage recess 44 for receiving a sealing member on its lower surface; a hollow sealing member 5 having its inside formed as a cavity and received in the storage recess for sealing the aperture between the opening and the attachment member; and a fixing means 31 for fixing the attachment member at a position where the lower end of the outer periphery of the storage recess has an aperture of a predetermined distance from the upper surface of the opening.
