PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum microwave thawing machine having improved opening and closing operation of the door without lowering the sealability of microwave radiation. SOLUTION: The leak of microwave is prevented by a chalking member 25 to dispense with a metallic wire tube for electromagnetic wave sealing. Accordingly, it is unnecessary to elastically deform the metallic wire tube in the case of closing the door 4 to facilitate the opening and closing operation of the door 4. The openings 34 and 36 of the chalking member 25 are closed with a chalking packing 32 to prevent the intrusion of water in the chalk groove 28. The removal of water evaporated by the evacuation of the chamber 10 becomes unnecessary and, accordingly, the chamber 10 is quickly evacuated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
