PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collapsible lens barrel capable of suppressing the amount of deterioration of optical performance due to the collapsing to the minimum. SOLUTION: One ends of guide poles 4a, 4b are fixed to a first group moving frame 3 retaining a first group lens L1 and a second group moving frame 5 retaining a second group lens L2 is retained slidably by the guide poles 4a, 4b. A third group frame 8 retaining a third group lens L3 for correcting image blurring retains the other ends of the guide poles 4a, 4b freely slidably. Thereby, the direction of inclination of the first group lens L1 to the third group lens L3 is allowed to be same with the direction of inclination of the second group lens L2 to the third group lens L3. As a result, the collapsible lens barrel which can suppress the amount of degradation of the optical performance to the minimum, has short whole length and mounts an image blurring corrector can be obtained.
