PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize focus regulation while preventing the bite of a driven member due to tightening torque of a motor. SOLUTION: The focus regulating device is equipped with a driving shaft 5 which carries out rotational driving, a nut 26 which is screwed to the driving shaft 5 and is moved by the rotational driving of the driving shaft 5, an optical lens 24 which moves to an optical axis direction accompanying the movement of the nut 26 and a repulsion forming means 33. The means 33, disposed spatially from the driving shaft 5 within a region P where the nut 27 is projected in its moving direction, generates the repulsion to repulse the tightening force generated by the rotational driving of the driving shaft 5.
