The application of hydroxypyridonone in effective amounts as external agent for patients suffering from skin microcirculatory disorders (SMD) provides for a significant amelioration of subject conditions. Accordingly, the new use of hydroxypyridonones as external anti-inflammatory agent thereby combined with the depletion of hemosiderin residues offers a suitable treatment to (SMD) sufferers. |
