ELEMENT TRANSFER METHOD AND DISPLAY DEVICE

There are provided an element transfer method and a display device capable of transferring elements arranged on a substrate to another substrate by easily peeling off the substrate after transfer of the elements, thereby reducing the possibility of damage of the substrate and capable of additionally transferring the elements onto the same substrate after transfer of the elements. A plurality of elements arranged on a temporarily holding substrate are buried and held in an adhesive layer formed on the transfer substrate and the elements are peeled off the temporarily holding substrate. Before hardening the adhesive layer, another element is additionally buried so that elements can be arranged on the transfer substrate of a large area. Moreover, when the element additionally buried in the adhesive layer has a different characteristic from the elements buried in advance, it is possible to easily obtain a display device of multi-color display and a display device having a drive circuit.
